Pantoja Press is a publisher and production company created by Steph Pantoja, that creates award winning books, such as $TASH, winner of The Next 15 Minutes script competition, The Paladin: Blood Bank, Dead Bang, The Aegis Odyssey collection, and The Amalaganimals children's book series, winner of the BETA Award for Best Youth Program.

STEPH PANTOJA

Steph (short for Stephen and pronounced Stefen) classifies himself as 'Blatino' (half Black and half Latino) with family hailing from both Barbados and Puerto Rico. He was born and raised in New York City and has lived in nearly every borough including Harlem, Staten Island, Queens and the Bronx.

Steph excelled at art and writing at an early age, following in a long line of artists from both sides of his family.
​
He was awarded a position in the Talent Opportunity Program at the John Peter Tetard school, as well Manhattan’s prestigious High School of Art and Design, both for his artistic ability.
​
He later attended Latino Televison Studios, the Center for Media Arts, Bronxnet and the City University of New York, majoring in film.
​
Following another family tradition, Steph joined the military as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps.
​
He has worked on films as a Script Supervisor, Director, Producer and Writer. He created, wrote and illustrated the children's book series 'The Amalaganimals', as well as helmed the live action and animated series based on the books, which he won the 2012 BETA Award for Best Youth Program.

He has also won the 2011 Act Now Foundation's The Next 15-Minutes Script Competition for his screenplay '$TASH'.
​
He wrote and produced the short film 'Recoil: A New Take On An Old Tale', wrote, directed and produced the indie film 'Black Pearl: The Art Of War And Peace', and has written several episodes of the web series 'The Block'.

Recently, he has authored the book adaptions of 'The Paladin: Blood Bank', '$TASH', 'Dead Bang', and 'The Aegis Odyssey'.

MOSHOLU MOB MEDIA

Mosholu Mob Media is the production arm of Pantoja Press and has produced the live action Amalaganimals children's show as well as the short films Recoil: A New Take On An Old Tale and Black Pearl: The Art Of War And Peace.
The screenplays for The Paladin: Blood Bank, $TASH and Dead Bang are all under development with Mosholu Mob Media.
Future projects also include the comedy series Nerd Geek City, and the drama The Stickup Kids.
